| Abstract This paper describes the debt of Dutch interpreters in Nagasaki during the Edo period. They were in debt using their salaries as collateral, and the lender received repayment directly from the Nagasaki Kaisho. This custom（system） was called "Kaisho 釣合" at the time. This paper also introduced materials of the Siebold Memorial Museum. |
