In recent years, fair trade towns have been born one after another in various parts of Japan as a powerful way to promote fair trade. In addition, the SDGs, international goals adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015 that are hoped to be achieved by 2030, comprise 17 goals, and fair trade is directly and indirectly involved in all of them. The fair trade town movement in Japan is also considered to be a practice closely related to the SDGs. If this is the case, what are the issues in the actual situation and initiatives? Chapter 2 discusses some previous studies on the relationship between the fair trade movement and the SDGs from a theoretical perspective. Chapter 3 discusses trends in the fair trade town movement and the promotion of the SDGs in Japan based on several reports and websites. Chapter 4 discusses issues related to the fair trade movement, the fair trade town movement, and the promotion of the SDGs in Japan. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the fair trade movement and the SDGs are closely related, that the fair trade town movement conforms to the objectives of the SDGs promotion project set out by the national and local governments, and that each municipality certified as a fair trade town has been selected as an SDGs Future City, and that the efforts of both fair trade and SDGs are synergistic in sustainable regional development and international contribution.}, title = {日本のフェアトレード運動におけるSDGsの推進に関する一考察 ―SDGsとフェアトレードタウン運動との連携を中心に―}, year = {2021} }
