In order to maintain the teacher training course in 2019 and afterwards, a written application was sent to the MEXT in April 2018.\nOne of the changes shown in the guideline was the introduction of the concept of a core curriculum. By following the concept of a core curriculum, some subjects must be newly introduced. A subject titled “A Period of Integrated Study” is one of them.\nFor this paper, the field “History of English Studies” was selected, and it is showed how our institution altered the content of the subject in order to follow the MEXT-guidelines.
