In order to maintain the teacher training course from 2019, a written application was sent to the MEXT in April 2018.\nOne of the changes shown in the guideline was the introduction of the concept of a core curriculum. By changing the content of the classes following the core curriculum, every university can offer a common level of content.\nFor this paper, an American English Literature class was selected and it showed how our institution altered the content of the subject.
