The Peterborough Chronicle recorded what happened in England from A.D. 1 to A.D. 1154. Early people were interested in astronomical phenomena, and they regarded them as ill omens. In this paper, I have listed the descriptions of comets and other celestial matter and tried to explain the feeling of early people towards astronomical phenomena. I have also quoted from various sources to show the still-enduring beliefs as described in the Peterborough Chronicle. Almost all the descriptions of comets and other celestial matter had something to do with ill omens.}, pages = {93--104}, title = {ピーターバラ年代記で天体の記録を読む (彗星その他)}, year = {2006} }
