There are two main observations: (1) All the texts employ the following independent practice activities; explain, state your opinion, class-discussion.(2) However when it comes to Speech, Role-play, survey, interview, and other Communicative activities, there was a drastic difference between the ways the activities were deployed between the textbooks. Based on this observation, although all the texts offer the general chance to explain, state your opinion, depending on the Japanese language textbook there is a clear gap in the opportunity to practice Speech, survey, Role-play, Interview, and other realistic Communicative activities with another person.
