 note = {This paper investigates the possibilities of implementing extensive reading in the university classroom where students' English proficiency levels vary. The paper argues that extensive reading is the key to address the difficulties brought by mixed level students in the university English reading class. It consists of two parts. The first half introduces the method using the SRA laboratory reading material and illustrates some potential benefits to the students. The second half explores the method of extensive reading by using a number of English books written in easy English language, such as graded books or leveled books. The potential benefits and limits of this method are discussed.},
