A Longitudinal Study of Japanese Grammar and Vocabulary Test Scores for Learners of Japanese: Through the Case of International Students Studying at a Japanese University
In this research, we conducted Japanese grammar and vocabulary tests in order to clarify how the Japanese language ability of Japanese learners who studied at a Japanese university changes during periods of studying abroad and its process. As a result, the grammar and vocabulary tests tended to show high scores after the second semester after admission/transfer, regardless of the level of Japanese ability. This tendency was found to be particularly strong in the vocabulary tests.
